Princeton Prep Preschool
Older Toddler Program (25–36 Months)

Growing Independence • Building Confidence • Preparing for Preschool

Our Older Toddler Program is designed for children approximately 25 to 36 months of age. This exciting stage is filled with tremendous growth as children become more independent, communicate more effectively, and begin preparing for the transition to our Preschool program. For more than 35 years, Princeton Prep Preschool has partnered with families by providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to grow at their own pace.

During this stage, children continue developing self-help skills, confidence, friendships, language, and early learning habits. We also work closely with families who are beginning or completing toilet learning, providing patient, consistent encouragement while recognizing that every child develops differently.

What Makes Our Older Toddler Program Special

  • Safe, secure, and carefully supervised classrooms and playgrounds.

  • Experienced educators who understand the unique needs of older toddlers.

  • Age-appropriate toys and learning centers that encourage curiosity and exploration.

  • Consistent daily routines that help children feel secure and confident.

  • Supportive partnership with families during toilet learning and other developmental milestones.

  • Activities that strengthen language, early problem-solving, social skills, fine and gross motor development, and self-help abilities.

  • Purposeful preparation for a smooth transition to our Preschool classrooms.

  • Daily communication through Brightwheel so families stay connected throughout the day.

Preparing for the Preschool Years

Our program introduces children to longer group activities, classroom routines, following directions, sharing, taking turns, and age-appropriate responsibilities. These experiences are consistent with developmentally appropriate early childhood practices that support children's social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive growth while preparing them for preschool success.
